  • Great until the end.

I really enjoyed this book and thought it was well developed. However, come the final chapters, it felt rushed and the subsequent resulting narrative mirrored that of someone frantically trying to finish their GCSE English exam paper. It was just poorly concluded, lose ends not tied together, and overall a poor ending. It’s a shame because the majority of the book was at a great pace.

I could not stop reading this, all the time saying that the "hero" was a bit of a plonker! I personally do not trust all the new digital era so I can fully understand how this plot could be. But we do live in this era so I guess the lesson has to be to be careful and aware. NEVER WRITE OR PHOTOGRAPH ANYTHING YOU WOULD NOT SHOW YOUR PARENTS. I try to install that nugget into my son!!!

Started off really well but dragged in middle. Skim read 500 pages as weren’t needed in length written. Such a shame because ending was fantastic did not c it coming.

  • Far fetched nonsense

I really should of put it down and left it, however after reading numerous reviews about the twist I thought I’d see it through. I’m so sorry I did. It was so frustrating mainly because of the central character Jo who was the worse drip in the world. I doubt anyone could be that naive and forgiving so quickly I just wanted to scream. I’m all for a bit of far fetched nonsense now and again but was too much.

I really really wanted to like this book. The majority of the reviews were great and I had such high hopes for it but I wanted to give up half way through. None of the characters were likeable and I couldn't even visualise them. The whole storyline is far-fetched, it felt like I was reading a midsummer murders episode. The conversations were irritating... Too many 'are you ok, are you sure, what's wrong etc..' Sorry but I'm struggling to find one thing good about this book. The twist at the end was ridiculous and the whole scene was comedic. Reminded me of the film scream.
